We will usually add your entry to the SEA Online Directory within one week from receipt of your completed entry form.
For entry into the Online Directory you need to comply with each of the following THREE criteria:
Criteria 1 – be a full member of the Society for Existential Analysis
Criteria 2 – have one or more of the six following existential qualifications:
i. graduate of the Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy, from the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology (SPCP), Regent’s College
ii. graduate of the DProf: Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling, from the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC).
iii. graduate of the Professional doctorate in Existential Phenomenological Counselling Psychology (DPsych), School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology (SPCP), Regent’s College.
iv. graduate of the DPsych: Existential Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, from the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC).
v. graduate of an alternative existential psychotherapy qualification – please specify.
vi. PhD in psychotherapy and counselling with a significant existential theme.
Criteria 3 – have one or more of the following qualifying memberships:
i. Member of United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) – National Register of Psychotherapists.
ii. Chartered Counselling / Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
iii. Accredited Counsellor or Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
iv. Counsellors and Psychotherapists that are ‘fully Qualified – but awaiting formal registration’ must provide evidence that they are in the process of registering with one of the above organizations. Practitioners in this category will be signified by an asterisk* after their names.
v. All Members, including International Members with alternative professional organisations, will need to provide evidence of the following:
a) Membership of a Professional Regulating Organisation.
b) A Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance.
c) Confirm that there are no outstanding or current procedures in relation to your fitness to practice.
Removal of entry
Your online Directory entry will be removed if your SEA membership or Criteria 3 qualifying memberships lapse.
